September 28: This week, we learned about concussions, and how to prevent them. I designed it to have a cardboard outer layer covered in construction paper, cotton ball inside, straws as a cover for the open side, and a parachute made of coffee filter. I tested it out twice from the top of a very high testing point, and the egg ever broke or cracked. It never cracked because of the soft-landing cushion it had, cotton balls. It never fell out because of the straws. This was a fun project overall and I learned a lot about how to prevent concussions, starting with wearing a soft helmet with a hard outer layer.
