Today, we finally got to conduct an investigation. We were each put into teams of four or five and each had a job to contribute. I was with Armahni, Jonah, and Daniel, and I got to be the scribe who notes everything. The case was the death of a woman who had stage four cancer. We had six minutes to get in and out of the crime scene. The victim was on the floor with a paper bag over her head with a mask on. There were pills spilled everywhere and all over the counter where a pile of books and magazines lay. In the pile, there was a book called The Final Exit on how to commit a peaceful suicide. There was a page in the book folded on the exact situation the woman was in. We thought it was assisted suicide because the pills container was completely closed so that means the husband could have helped her. They must have had a financial motive because the woman had health insurance so that if she died, the husband would have more money. We put together all of our notes in a presentation and we will present them tomorrow. I can’t wait to find out the results!
